Standards-Based Installation Procedures
Each installation is carried out in compliance with the key international standards for emergency equipment:
ANSI/ISEA Z358.1-2014
- Positioning of units within 10 seconds (approx. 15m) from hazards
- Unobstructed access with clear visibility
- Minimum 20 gallons per minute (GPM) for showers; 0.4 GPM for eye washes
- Tepid water delivery: 16–38°C (60–100°F)
EN 15154-2:2006
- Ergonomic and safe activation systems
- Spray pattern and coverage testing
- Flow rate and temperature control
- Performance in ambient and extreme temperatures
Installation Phase Checklist
Site Readiness
- Confirm drainage availability and floor gradient
- Check water supply pressure and flow capacity
- Verify proximity to hazard zone (10 seconds max)
Mounting & Positioning
- Level and secure anchoring of shower/eye wash unit
- Obstruction-free access routes
- Clear, weatherproof signage installed
System Commissioning
- Flow-rate verification using calibrated gauges
- Water temperature tested and balanced
- Activation mechanisms tested for ease and response
Compliance Documentation
- Installation report with ANSI/EN references
- Initial maintenance and inspection guidelines issued
- Optional: photo log and commissioning checklist
Post-Installation Support
Once your system is operational, we provide:
