ANSI Z358.1 & EN 15154 Maintenance Checklist
Weekly Checks (ANSI Z358.1 Requirement)
- Activate equipment to verify proper water flow
- Flush to remove sediment and stagnant water
- Ensure pathways to units are unobstructed
- Confirm visibility of signage and instructions
- Record findings in maintenance log
Monthly Inspection
- Check for corrosion, damage, or wear
- Verify eye wash nozzles produce a soft, aerated stream
- Test water pressure and flow consistency
- Inspect pull rods, foot pedals, or push plates
- Check for proper drainage and pooling issues
Annual Service (Full Functional Certification)
- Full decontamination of tanks and pipework
- Water quality testing (especially for standing tanks)
- Flow-rate and spray-pattern analysis per ANSI/EN specs
- Thermostatic valve function check (if temperature-controlled)
- Replacement of any defective parts or consumables
- Issue of maintenance certificate with compliance sign-of
